rash

Starting Thursday night, Keith and I noticed a couple of bumps on Luke's face. We chalked it up to acne of some sort and didn't think much else about it. After Luke woke up from his nap on Saturday, things were dramatically different. He had random patches of rash all over his body. Each patch was about the size of a half dollar and the crazy part is that when a patch would show up, it'd be there for about 15 minutes, and then it would go away so that another patch on another part of his body could show up. A quick call was made to Andrew and Andi (our resident medical experts) and Benadryl was administered. His rash went away as soon as the medicine took effect. This is what the rash looked like at the height of rashiness:

Yuck. We woke up bright and early to go to our typical 7:30am Mass only to find more patches of spots popping up. More medicine was given and we haven't seen another bump since.

I have no idea why these bumps magically appeared. Luke's diet didn't change, there was no change of detergent, we didn't go any place new. His behavior never changed and he never ran a fever. Whatever this was, I'm glad the bumps are gone and I really hope they don't reappear any time soon.

Kaeleigh used to get something similar when she was that age. It was almost like a heat rash...very strange. Hope it clears up, rashes are no fun.
