here comes santa claus...

Should have been posted: November 29th.

Each year, Keith and I get super excited to decorate our home for Christmas. Its our tradition to pull everything out the weekend of Thanksgiving. In years past, I've had to convince/remind/beg Keith to not decorate before then. He would put everything up the first weekend in November if he had the chance.

This year was slightly different. Between chasing Luke, who like to get into everything, and being much larger with a limited ability to bend or stretch, we just didn't have the same zeal for it that we typically do. We ended up putting up about half of our Christmas decorations which equated to everything that wasn't breakable. Luke still had a ball helping us.

He checked every bin to see what each one contained.

Luke helped Daddy put up our Christmas tree.

The completed tree from the "good" angle.

The completed tree from the "truth" angle. All of our ornaments were brought pre-kiddos. Needless to say, the majority of them are glass and were placed at a height that Luke could not reach. Hence, only half of the tree was decorated.

Wrapping things up (Christmas...wrapping...get it?), here is a video we took of Luke seeing the Christmas decorations for the first time. His reaction makes all the stress of decorating this year completely worth it.

I just love your blogs! Don't feel bad, I didn't decorate at all this year, and I didn't have a toddler or a baby on the way so I really didn't have any excuse!!
